I installed a poll plugin into our Wordpress software and we have officially launched our first poll. To tie with Melina’s Summer Skin photoshoot, we have created three mock up magazine covers; featuring three of Melina’s hottest shots from the photoshoot. Why? You probably ask. Well, WWE have gone into a more interactive method of distributing their annual Diva photoshoots, through the WWE.com homepage. Gone are the days of an exclusive ‘Divas’ franchise magazine and DVD it seems.

I’d like to welcome you to the new version of Premier-Melina.net! It’s taken me a few days to get everything just right and I have to say that this is my favourite look of the site for a long while. Using some hot shots from Melina’s recent Summer Skin photoshoot, I have also used some photos from the photoshoot Melina did for Photographer Daniel Garriga (which will be added to the site soon). There’s alot more to come to the site including (obviously), the remaining photos of Melina’s Summer Skin shoot as well as multimedia to the archive that is long overdue so be prepared for that!

Summer Activity: Things that are beachy, that remind me of when I was younger.
Some could call her a walking contradiction, but Melina sees herself as the complete WWE Diva. And with what she has accomplished, whether it’s in the ring, on a mat or anywhere else, she’s absolutely right.
“When I was young and around my family, you could say I was a little Diva,” Melina said with a smile, reflecting about her childhood. “I’d dance around, and I’d pretend like I was a little ballerina. I was always in my own little world.”
Melina described herself as a pretender, but is anything but, as she has always pushed for her dreams to become reality since grade school.
“I have a lot of dreams. It’s just whatever door opens up and whatever fits at that time.”
The self-proclaimed “True Diva” took part in acting, singing both in and out of choir, dance, journalism, track and rollerblading, to name a few of her activities. She grew up in an active household as her mother worked out regularly and her father boxed. Melina also has an older brother who was intent on training her early on for a career in wrestling. Thanks to my close friend Bobby for sending along these scans of Melina from the new Pro Wrestling Insider Magazine for the month of September. The scans are live action shots of Melina from her match with Beth Phoenix at One Night Stand just over a month ago and are definately worth the look.

A huge thanks to Darren of Captured Beauty for donating this scan of Melina from the latest issue of Powerslam magazine. The image is a candid of Melina signing some promos at an autograph session, she also got a mention from the rag in recognition of her injury;
“Melina suffered a broken right heel during a tag team match on the June 23 RAW. The injury happened when she was shoved off the top rope to the floor (as planned) and landed badly. Melina will be sidelined for at least three months.”
